Garment production planning is the vital part of every garment industry. Well executed production planning decides whether the factory will be successful or not. The garments industry require successful production planning to meet the demands of a growing industry. Production planning in the garment industry is responsibility for preparing and executing the production plan from beginning to end for every order. The planning stage includes fixing the planned cut date, allocation the order to the sewing line, quality control, finishing, shipment and other processes that help to complete the order on time.

Therefore, it’s necessary to check what materials are available in-house and how much more material is required. This stage of planning also includes from where the desired material will be bought, example- locally or internationally.


 5. Cost estimation: As each factory is looking for a higher profit, it’s necessary to do a proper cost estimation of the entire production. Over time, costs can be cut to maximize profits by analyze where the majority of expenditures are going and where is wastage.


6. Manpower and machine budget: Production planning department make decision how many operators need for the particular style layout. They can make decision line layout for a particular style.
